HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER.

Robin Chalker has an incredibly unique background — one that focuses on education, law and advocacy. Her experience as a Master teacher, lawyer and advocate is the key to her success. She has chosen to be an inactive attorney, as she decided that her most valuable asset is offering steady guidance, advocacy and insight surrounding how to get a child in the most supportive school program in the quickest amount of time. Her focus is creating a school environment that meets the student’s social, emotional and academic needs. A great amount of importance is placed on finding the child’s “islands of competence” and developing programs in their school setting where the focus is on strengths — not only needs. Robin helps develop Individualized Education Plans, 504 plans as well as advanced learning plans for the gifted student. Her ability to creatively use her training in law, teaching and advocacy has been the key to her success. Available for consultations and educational meetings via phone enables Robin to assist clients regardless of location. She has experience guiding clients through the following areas:

•  Special/Elementary Education programming
• Attending IEP meetings/504 meetings/Alp meetings
• Complaints

MEET ROBIN CHALKER

Attorney/Educational Advocate

Upon completion of Dual Master’s Degrees in Special Education (K-12) and Elementary Education, Robin began her career as a special education teacher in the state of Massachusetts. While working as a teacher she constantly found herself “fighting the system” advocating for her student’s needs. After teaching for over ten years, Robin decided that the best way for her to make a difference was to enroll in the School of Law at Suffolk University. During her first year of law school, she moved to Colorado where she graduated in the top five percent of her class from the University of Denver School of Law in 2001.
